My City Shows Zero Arrests
Arrests are filed to the city of the ICE office that made the arrest, not to where the person lives or was found. A city with no ICE office will show zero even when its residents were arrested — those arrests appear under whichever office recorded them.
The Newest Month Looks Low
It is. The most recent month in any release is still filling in, which is why the app draws it faded and says so. Compare full months, not the leading edge.
How Often Does the Data Update
New records are published every few weeks, and the app picks them up automatically. If you turn on the monthly notice, your phone tells you when a newer batch appears for your city.
A Number Here Does Not Match Somewhere Else
Different sources cut the same records differently — by arrest date or book-in date, by office or by residence, over twelve months or a fiscal year. This app counts arrests over the twelve months ending with the current month, by the arresting office's city, and says so on each screen.
The App Will Not Load
The app needs a network connection to read the records; nothing is bundled with it. If it keeps failing on a working connection, email us with the city you were looking at.
